Have A Go

The 30-day plan for people who've spent long enough getting ready.

Find the one thing that's actually stopping your next sale, and spend the next month doing something about it. It's free.

Have A Go ebook cover: an Aussie bloke leans over the back fence shouting "Avago ya mug!" to his mate stuck at a laptop on the verandah

Sound familiar?

None of that is laziness. It's the Getting-Ready Trap: work that feels productive because nobody can say no to it. This plan gets you out of it.

What's in the plan

The one rule: every day, do at least one thing that puts your business in front of real people and could get you paid. That's a Have-A-Go. The daily emails give you one each morning.

Questions people ask

Why am I not making money online when I've done all the courses?

Usually it isn't a knowledge problem. Most people are working hard on the wrong thing, like tweaking a website or building another product, while the real problem is something else, such as nobody seeing the offer. Have A Go helps you find that one Sticking Point and work on it.

Is it too late to start an online business at 55, 60 or 65?

No. This plan is written for people over 50. Experience, patience and the ability to talk to people are real advantages. What holds most people back isn't age, it's spending years getting ready instead of putting an offer in front of real people.

What should I focus on first?

Follow the money backwards. If you have nothing to sell, make one simple offer. If you have an offer but nobody sees it, get it seen. If people see it but don't buy, fix the offer. Work on the one stage that's broken and ignore the rest for now.

How long should I try something before deciding it doesn't work?

Longer than feels comfortable. Sending five emails or posting three times isn't a test. Pick a number big enough that the result means something, do all of it, then decide. The 30 daily emails help you keep going.

Can I use ChatGPT or Claude as a business coach?

Yes, if you give it one job. The plan includes a ready-made prompt that turns ChatGPT or Claude into a straight-talking accountability mate. It asks about your business, tells you what's really holding you back, and calls you out when you're avoiding the work that matters.

Is this free 30-day challenge just a way to sell me something?

The plan and all 30 daily emails are free. After the 30 days you'll get my regular WM Tips emails, which sometimes recommend products, and you can unsubscribe in one click whenever you like. You don't need to buy anything to use the plan.

What can I realistically achieve in 30 days?

In 30 days you'll either have sales or know exactly why you don't and what to fix next. There are no income promises here. The aim is to stop guessing and get real evidence about your business.

How much time does it take each day?

The daily email takes a couple of minutes to read and the scorecard takes about two minutes to fill in. Most daily actions take under an hour. The book itself takes about 20 minutes to read.

Who's writing this

I'm Brent. I run WM Tips from Adelaide, writing for people over 50 who want online income that's still there next year. I've spent my share of time in the Getting-Ready Trap. This is the plan I use to get out of it.

Go on. Have a go.

Thirty days from now you'll either have sales or know exactly why you don't. Both beat another month of getting ready.
