We have all been handicapped by limiting beliefs.

 

Some of these have come from our parents and other senior family members.

Some have come from siblings and peers.

Some have come from teachers and bosses.

Other than genuine physical limitations, none of them are real.

 

They manifest in our internal talk, the stuff you say in your head.

 

When you change that self-talk to work for you instead of against you, your life can change in amazing ways.

 

You can't change that until you identify it, and this is how you identify it.

Complete these sentences, you can write multiples of these if you need to.

I am...

I am not...

I can't...

I must...

I mustn't...

I do...

I don't...

Other people do...

Other people don't...

That's just the way things are. This one limits you because you are locked into the status quo, and all great inventions or discoveries came about because someone didn't accept the status quo.

 

Write a replacement statement for each of those negative ones that is non-limiting.

 

Read them out loud to make sure that they are positive and encouraging statements.

 

When you catch yourself using the old statements, whip out your notes, and replace the negatives with positives.

 

What you are doing is retraining your brain with a positive mind-set.

 

You'll be amazed at how quickly things can change for you.

P.S. Yeah, it does sound a bit woo woo, but this stuff does work.

 

You still need to set your goals and break them down to daily tasks, but the results come much faster when you have the right mind-set.
