At least that's what I tell the kids when they groan at another joke.

"My humour is for my entertainment, not yours. If you happen to find something I say funny that's a bonus but not required".

Sometimes they find something amusing, but not always.

I blame my father for my sense of humour.

He wouldn't take offence at that though, his sense of humour was a bit warped as well.

When you're writing copy for a webpage, sales page, video script or email, it's important to have enthusiasm for your subject.

You have to infect the reader with that enthusiasm to get them enthused with owning what you are offering them.

It's not about the product.

It's about the value they will get from owning the product.

What it will do for them, how their lives will change for the better.

Just like when you're trying to show someone your favourite movie that they've never seen.

They're into it and willing to give it a shot with an open heart and mind because you're obviously convinced it's the best damn thing ever.

They don't know how they should feel, so it's up to you the lead them into positive expectations of a great experience.

Regards,
Brent.

P.S.  Can you write ten pages on any subject you like?

Can you find some enthusiasm for a subject and write about it?

One day to do some research, a couple or three days to write ten pages and then do it again.

For five bucks a day it's probably worth a weeks work.

That works out at 35 bucks a week or $140 a month ongoing.

For a weeks work, that's ridiculous but worth the effort.
