I classify the Internet as a public space, as are my emails to you. Anytime you are speaking or writing to an audience, you are in a public space. So, what do you do when you make a mistake, as I did recently? The first step is always to apologise as quickly as possible and take whatever steps you need to eliminate or reduce any impact from that mistake. We are all human, I think, and we all make mistakes. Most of the mistakes we make are not life-changing, which is good because we can learn the lesson and move on. Do we regret some mistakes? Yes, of course we do. Should those regrets stop us from keeping trying new things? No, learn, live with it and keep moving forward. The best thing about making public mistakes is that your audience will watch how you handle them and will gain a greater appreciation for you because they can see the authenticity of your actions and behaviour. Discover it, do it, teach it (perhaps sell it), repeat it. You can get paid to learn how to do stuff as long as you share what you are learning. You don't have to be an expert to start, but you do have to start to become an expert. Regards,
