The righter you do the wrong thing, the wronger you become. — Dr Russell Ackoff Think about that for a moment — we can, with the best of intentions, make our businesses significantly WORSE if we focus on the wrong things (and do those wrong things exceptionally well!) That's an easy way to get a headache and begs the question, what should we do instead? First, we have to figure out what are the right things to do for our business. What's right for my business may not be suitable for yours. That's why I talk about a range of things in these emails, some of what I write about will be relevant to you, and some will not. That's OK. Every person and every business is unique or should be. You'll know when you are doing the right thing. It'll make sense, it'll come easily or at least enjoyably, and it won't seem like a chore. The better you get at doing the right things, the better your business will grow. In previous emails, I have suggested that you try things out. If they don't work out for you, move on. Try something else out. Plan to fail a lot. The more things you fail at during the testing phase the faster you'll find the things that work for you, and the quicker you'll begin making the money you deserve. But don't fail because you didn't put enough effort into your trial. Work hard to make it a success, but don't worry if it isn't. Regards,
