Our youngest son came up with that analogy this evening, and I agree with him.

Consider going through the McDonalds drive-through.

You may get some healthy food, but most of it is deep fried, fatty and highly seasoned.

It's pretty much the same with most social media newsfeeds.

There are some good news stories, but most of them are harmful for your brain and general well-being.

Small doses of the crap won't do much damage.

Continual exposure will polarise and limit your world.

Unfortunately, many people spend way too long scrolling through the feeds, which these companies want.

That is what they sell to the advertisers who put their ads in your feed.

None of them is for your benefit.

But, you can take advantage of those addicted viewers without paying for ads.

Set up a page in your account.

Join the groups that cater to your target audience.

Engage with those groups with comments and posts once per day per group.

Post teaser images and quotes on your page with links to your off-site pages in the comment for the images.

What will happen is that people will see your comments in their group.

They'll like it, and then your posts will show up in their feed.

You're not spamming the group, and you only post the images on your page.

You're taking advantage of Facebook's algorithm to grow your audience.

Try it, let me know how it works for you.

Regards,
Brent.

P.S.  Because Facebook doesn't like you running links to an affiliate or other promotions that take people away, you need to be a little smarter about it.

When you build a bridge page, in the manner taught here, https://go.wm-tips.com/ezaff, you won't have the link blocked.

You can use the same bridge page with paid ads on Google or Bing.
