There is a mistake that almost everyone who tries to sell things online is making right now.
The mistake is rooted in logic, which is why it's so easy to make.
The #1 niche marketing mistake is choosing a niche that is too broad!
************************TL;DR:************************** Discover how to avoid this mistake inside this professional training. ********************************************************
I say this mistake is "rooted in logic" because we all want as many buyers as possible.
And the logic says if there are 300 million people interested in topic X but only 5 million interested in topic Y then topic X is the way to go!
Big mistake. Understandable, but huge.
Here are three reasons that is true.
Reason 1 - You can't afford to reach enough of them.
Reaching a huge mass of people with a general problem is not nearly as profitable as reaching a smaller group of people with a specific problem.
If you want to make sales, you need to reach people who NEED an answer now.
A friend I admire puts it this way - it's the difference between selling vitamins and selling painkillers.
Reason 2 - You won't know what to say to them.
Generic problems have generic answers, but generic solutions do not stimulate people to buy.
Specific problems have specific solutions that are actionable NOW.
And NOW is the main word to remember when selling online.
You do want them to buy NOW, don't you?
Then address NOW problems and offer NOW solutions.
Reason 3 - You are leaving money on the table!
If you sell generic information or using generic marketing to sell anything, you miss the boat.
People have specific problems and want specific solutions.
When your specific solution solves their particular need, they will buy from you and do it now.
But there's another profit-sucking mistake that generic marketing creates.
Totally missing the opportunity to use upsells.
Here's a fact - upsells are more profitable than offering your main product.
When a person has a BURNING need, they will buy not only one solution but many solutions.
Marketers have a name for this behaviour - binge buying.
Question - how did Netflix dominate the watch-on-demand business and put Blockbuster (remember them?) out of business.
They let you binge-watch.
If you want to see all of the Crown's past episodes and want to watch one after another from start to end, you can do that.
In like manner, you must let your buyer binge buy the solutions you offer.
If you are an affiliate marketer, then the job of the vendor you represent is to know these things and leverage them on YOUR behalf.
HERE IS THE FIX FOR THE MISTAKE ...
Instead of going after a big niche just because it's big, focus on a smaller part of that niche.
It's called a sub-niche, and it is the key to your future success.
Regards, Brent. P.S. Inside the training on how to make money online, there is specific training on choosing a profitable niche.
As you can see, that is the key to making a full-time income online.
It's also the key to making a part-time income online.
When you think like "if I can get 1% of 1% of the total market to buy my thing I'll do OK" you will fail because the amount of money or time it will take to find that elusive 1% of 1% exceeds your budget.
When you identify the 1% of 1% who will buy your thing and target them directly, you reduce the time and cost to a positive ROI because the remaining 99.99% of the broad market will not click on your links and cost you money.
