Is an expert someone who knows more and more about less and less until they know all there is to know about nothing?

That's probably a bit unfair to 99.9% of experts.

However, it is true that over specialisation can be a never-ending spiral.

You have been taught to niche down to find that minimal viable market underserved by the rest of the marketers.

So you don't market to the dog training market, but you target the King Charles Cavalier obedience market.

When you are established there, you can branch out to the Bichon Frise obedience market etc.

But, you also want to be known as "the small dog person" and deal with obedience, feeding, bathing, potty training, and any other area related to small dogs.

Being only known for obedience training of King Charles Cavalier spaniels is too limiting in the long run.

It's the same in every niche market.

Get yourself established in a tiny niche first, but make sure that your web presence also includes broader subjects.

One of the marketing rules I read years ago was that if you couldn't be number one in the market category, create a category that you can be number one in.

P.S.  One of the beauties of video marketing is that you can add the videos you create to multiple platforms and generate backlinks to your website, as well as bring visitors directly from those platforms.

I'm sure you knew that YouTube was the second biggest search engine after Google.

YIVE has some excellent auto video creation capabilities built-in and, if you take up one of their subscription services, you can also auto-post to YouTube.

I wouldn't do that immediately.

Wait until you have a YouTube channel generating traffic and revenue first.

Then it becomes a no-brainer to scale things up to increase your traffic and income.
