Some people should stop pretending to themselves that they want to make money online.

I get it, it sounds like a great idea (and it is), it sounds like anyone could do this (and they could), but it does take work.

Yes, it does, and if you won't do the work, you should stop pretending that you will.

Let me tell you a little story.

My young brother is a musician. 

He's quite talented but never made a career out of it.

As a result, he is stony broke.

I have Internet Marketing skills, but I can't play the guitar.

I suggested that I build his website and membership platform for him so he could have some income.

He had to produce the first training video to get some practice in, and then we would plot out the series of videos.

That was six months ago.

I haven't pushed, and I haven't seen the first video.

He doesn't have a job. He sits in his lounge room with his guitar and a camera already set up, but that's as far as he has got.

He needs the money but won't do the work even though he has the skills and the equipment.

Why not?

I don't know, and I'm not going to ask because I don't want to listen to the excuses.

Many years ago I learned to not push people into doing stuff they don't want to do.

They won't thank you for it, and they will find a way to destroy whatever you build for them.

As a sales trainer of mine said once, "You don't send your ducks to eagle school."

Not everyone has the desire, those that do will take off with a bit of guidance, those that don't will never take off without a change in their desire.

There's nothing wrong with being a duck, but if you would rather be an eagle, you need to stop thinking like a duck and hanging around the pond with the other ducks.
