Some of you might remember that song by The Beatles.

It has been called one of the greatest songs ever written.

The thing about this and many other memorable songs by that group and many others is the fact that they tell, in a few lyrics, a story that resonates with us.

Little tricks like that second line - you know what I mean - bonds with us because we feel that the lyric speaks directly to us.

Yes, Paul, we do know what you mean.

But what I mean by that and what Paul meant by that might be totally different things.

That is the art of copywriting.

Words have power, whether you write them down, sing them, say them in your mind or out loud.

You can use them for good or evil but they have power.

When you learn to use them well the world is your oyster and people will pay you real money to use them on their behalf.

You can also get people to pay you for your products.

Well worth learning this skill don’t you think?

Want to find out how to learn this?

It’s not as hard as you might think.

Read ads that you like and copy them.

When you want to write your own sales letter copy the ones you like, not the text but the style and the layout.

Write another quite different one and run them both as a split test.

Take the winner as the control and duplicate it and make a single change for your split test.

It won’t take very long before you know how to consistently write good sales letters.

Is that too simple?

Does it work?

Yep, do it.

Pick some product on Clickbank and write your own sales page for it.

The sales will tell you when you get it right.

Let me know how you get on.

Regards,

Brent.

P.S. Writing a book is another form of copywriting.

What you are trying to do is deliver a story to the reader in such a way that they live the story.

This is the same for fiction or non-fiction so the skills required are similar.

When you want to write a book it pays to write it fast, that way you don’t keep second guessing yourself and never getting it finished.
