First, say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do. - Epictetus. 55 - 135 AD
Epictetus was a Greek philosopher who was born a slave. To Epictetus, all external events are beyond our control; we should accept calmly and dispassionately whatever happens. However, individuals are responsible for their own actions, which they can examine and control through rigorous self-discipline.
I don't know about rigorous but certainly focussed, is that the same thing? All of those who you know about who are making a full-time living online started out the same way. Not in the same niche, there are hundreds of profitable niches. No, they started by getting very focussed and determined to have the better life that they believed an online business could provide.
They are right. It can provide for you at any scale you can believe. But you do have to put the work in at first to learn how. It's not hard. It's just different to anything you have done before. Doing isn't hard to live with; not doing is hard to live with.
Watching your dreams gently moulder away is slowly eating at you. The only cure is to say "Stop, no more. I will do what it takes." That's what John Reese did. He was the first person to make $1 million online in a day. Before he figured it out, he was $100k in debt, but he didn't stop trying because he knew he would achieve what he set out to achieve. I'm not saying that you need to go massively into debt to make it; there is no need to be in debt before you begin making money. Regards, Brent. P.S. Smoothly moving into something to prove you don't need to have a debt to start the online journey. You can generate seed money by any one of these different tried and tested methods. Yep, people will pay you to do stuff online, and this means that you can start today generating a little cash, you won't get rich from these, but you need seed money to begin any venture, and these can provide that. |
