Your life can change in a fraction of a second.

One decision, one mistake, one error of judgement can change everything forever.

I have been down the YouTube rabbit hole today listening to the music of my youth.

I'm amazed at how many of them I know the words for as I wasn't a music buff then or now.

Some of the songs are tinged with sadness as they were popular when friends or acquaintances died, bringing back those memories.

Car accidents, falls, misadventure, disease all played a part.

I really don't like going anywhere near cemeteries as a result.

Too many headstones for people who didn't get to live their lives fully.

It doesn't seem to matter if the person died 100 years ago, it still fills me with sadness.

As a consequence of these memories, I try to live each day as fully as I can.

That doesn't mean that I rush from one activity to another, but it does mean that I try to spend time with family, and I do something productive to build my income most days.

For me, building a secure income is part of how I plan to take care of my family now and into the future because we don't know what will happen.

If you can tell your future, you'll know exactly when you need to start building your business.

If you can't, the best time was two years ago, and the next best time is now.

I believe that everyone needs to build an alternative source of income as a single source can be taken away without notice.

Been there, experienced that.

It's a most unpleasant experience, but one which has taught me two important lessons.

1. No job or business is guaranteed to be secure.
2. When your income comes from multiple sources, losing one doesn't hurt as much.

If your boss decides that you need to go for whatever reason, you're gone.

When you already have another income stream, you can thank them and leave happily.

You need to control your traffic via email and manage your income via either recurring sales or recurring revenue on the Internet.
