We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit. Aristotle.
Since we all have 24 hours in any one day the people who get more done in a day than you do must be doing something different, agreed?
Scientists have studied super successful people to learn their secrets.
To test if anyone could learn these secrets, volunteers took this new knowledge and applied it.
All of those who properly applied what they learned, even if it was only one of the ten secrets, were more productive.
These science-backed secrets are laid out for you here, use one until it becomes a habit before you move onto the next one.
What develops habits?
Good habits are hard to learn and easy to live with, while bad habits are easy to learn and hard to live with. Brian Tracy.
- Get Positive: Start the day with a mantra. Something that resonates with you such as "Today is going to be the best day ever" or "What good shall I do today" or "Thank you for this day".
- Be Proactive: Don't check your email first. Focus on what you need to do before you get distracted by other people's needs.
- Mentally Prepare: Visualise your success. Close your eyes and visualise yourself excelling in your activities. If you can't imagine, use a pen and paper and write it down. Do this regularly throughout the day.
- Read a book, even if it's just one page at a time. Reading boosts your intelligence and your brainpower. Who knows, you might even learn something useful.
- Make Yourself Accountable: Find a partner or mentor. Talk to them regularly about what you've done towards your goals.
- Write: Prime yourself for creativity. It doesn't matter what you write but do it every day.
- Make a Daily To-Do List. Not a long list of aspirational activities, a short list of up to six things you must do today. Cross them off as you achieve them.
- Take Regular Breaks Throughout the Day. Taking breaks refreshes your mind and stops you getting bored. Don't make the breaks too long though. A five-minute break is excellent, have a nap for extra benefits.
- Break Your Day Into Chunks. Instead of working all day on a single project, break it up into sections and work one section at a time.
- Theme Your Workdays (and week). For example, Monday — emails, Tuesday — Blog posts, Wednesday — Creating backlinks, Thursday — Create or find a new product, Friday — marketing.
Can you pick one and get into the habit of doing it every day?
Let me know how you get on.

Brent.
P.S. You have probably heard about the crazy money some people make with software.
Consider this.
Facebook is just a lump of software that manages data for you.
Google is the same.
Microsoft is only about software.
There are thousands of other examples of people making a great living by selling software.
You don't have to be a programmer to make money with software.
You don't even need to have an original idea, look in the Google Play Store or the Apple App store on any subject and look at the multiple products available all doing the same thing.
When you have a tool that helps you to write useful, valuable and saleable software, you can join this gold rush.
Check out these samples that could be making money for you.
