In the far east of China, there was a farmer who grew various crops. One crop was bamboo.
People in the village would watch him water his plants for day after day, month after month, regardless of the weather. Even though none of the bamboo plants had sprouted- he was just watering the dirt.
He did this for years- people would watch the farmer water his plants, but people eventually got tired of watching, they thought he must have been stupid to keep watering a patch of dirt. Then one day, the bamboo finally sprouted- yes, a tiny plant.
And after it sprouted, in a matter of weeks, that small sprout grew into an 80ft tall bamboo tree.
If you didn't know that it would take that type of bamboo five years even to sprout, but from there it would grow 2 feet per day for five weeks, but only when they have been well taken care of the entire time.
So, what's the moral of the story? It is that you should take small, consistent action over an extended period. But maybe the more powerful lesson is how you should have faith - no matter how long it takes, that the seed will finally break open, and your hard-work will rapidly pay off.
But you must have an end goal in mind and a process to follow.

P.S. The ninth wonder of the world is compound interest, and the tenth is affiliate marketing.
I talk quite a bit about affiliate marketing because it is the simplest way for you to start making some income from the Internet.
You don't need a domain name, you don't need a website, you don't need an existing audience, you don't need your own product, and you don't need a lot of capital.
The best place to start is Clickbank because there are no handicaps to becoming an affiliate, sign up for free, and you are one.
Pick a product, get your hoplink (affiliate link), and you're good to go.
For all the details on how to set this up, check out this training. |
