Today I was going through various online tools so I could share them with you for the planning of your marketing.

I use and like mindmaps for some things, including writing books and reports.

I use Grammarly, https://go.wm-tips.com/grammarly, for writing emails (I'm using it now) and when I'm re-writing PLR stuff, but not for planning.

Anyway, back when I went to a 9-5, I used to spend my lunch break working on my online aspirations.

Mostly I had to use web-based tools because I couldn't install software on my work computer, I did figure out how to do that, but it was risky.

The issue was that I tended not to use those online tools when I got home, no I don't know why.

Yes, I do understand that it was a dumb move, but what can I say I was younger then.

The really, really dumb thing is that I logged into this particular tool today and discovered that I had made a massive error of judgement.

I had notes in there of a solo ad I had run for 200 clicks which returned 77 signups and three sales.

What did I do?

I thought that wasn't good enough and never ran a solo to that landing page again.

Idiot!

No, that run didn't break even which is why I didn't rerun it.

Why is that a mistake?

Two main reasons.

  1. Most solos don't generate any sales.

  2. No landing page or sales page is most effective from its first iteration.

What should I have done?

  1. Set up a split test for the landing page and the bridge page and rerun the solo with the same vendor.

  2. Set up a proper email sequence for those who signed up and didn't buy to try to get them to reconsider.

  3. Set up a different series for those who did buy with complimentary offers.

Fortunately, I still have that funnel set up, and I can send some traffic to it after I make those changes.

Regards,
Brent.

P.S.  If you want to find out how to make your solo ads work correctly you'll need to get Loy Pluckett's Solo Ads Insider course. https://link.wm-tips.com/5fatal

That's where I learned what I had done stupidly in that old solo ad run when I was trying to learn how to do it.

It also showed me what to do to fix it.

Even the freebie you get for showing interest is well worth getting as it tells you the Five Fatal Solo Ad Mistakes in a short PDF.
