About two years ago, Google started setting up their .new top-level domain name extension.
They didn't allow anyone else to play with it while they figured out how to use it themselves, but it's coming into the realms of public usage, except Google will not allow just anyone to register for one. However, here are some that you can try out.
Type docs.new into your URL bar. If you are logged into your Google account, this will open a new document ready for you to start typing.
Here is the full list as of today:
Now Google's making that little bit of magic available to the rest of the internet as well. These are the front runners.
There will be more, but they will also be restricted, Google is controlling access reasonably tightly, so there will only be reputable companies able to register these. Just in case you thought that things had slowed down online.

P.S. Wayne Crowe has released something quite extraordinary. He has launched a program that he is calling the OLSP project which allows anyone to sign up for free, train them on how to use it and pay them for any sales made through their link, for always. He is completely nuts. 🤷🏻♂️ He and his team will do everything they can do to make sales on your behalf just by sharing the link that he will give you.
