But how do you know when the iron is hot unless you are a blacksmith? If you are not shaping hot iron, then this is interesting as a metaphor only. Clearly, the meaning is to take advantage of opportunities as they arise, but what happens if an opportunity never arises? What do you do then? A suggestion I read recently was that you should keep striking the iron until it is hot. That puts a different slant on things, doesn't it? In the context of what I have been talking about over some emails recently, it seems to be a matter of persistently following your process until you get the breakthrough. When you keep hammering away at adding content to your sites and building links to that content, you will reach the momentum shifting tipping point. When you reach that point, you only have to keep tapping rather than hammering to maintain the momentum. The iron is hot, so you don't have to strike it as hard as you had to get it hot. Then you become an overnight success, and your partner thinks you're a genius. You get to live the life you want rather than the one someone else lays out for you. Look good? Email me to let me know if this made sense to you or not. Regards,
