I watched a video with Warren Buffett today, which was a compilation of his ten secrets to success.

Mostly they were the same as you can find in any YouTube video or blog post on the ten secrets to success.

There was one part of one of his answers which struck me as the real key to pretty much everything.

He was quoting someone else, who's name escapes me at the moment, but the gist of the statement was "I'm smart in spots, I stay around those spots, and people think I'm a genius."

If you think about is that is the secret.

• Don't try to be someone you're not.
• Don't try to force yourself into a mould that doesn't fit.
• Don't try to be something because someone else says you should.
• Do work out what interests you the most.
• Do work out how you could make a living by doing that.
• Do it.

They have always said that if you do what you love, you won't work a day.

The problem with that is that sometimes doing what you love may not be able to provide you with a living.

There is almost always a way that you can modify what you love doing in such a way that it can pay you to do it.

The questions to ask are:-

1. What do I love to do?
2. How can I make a living doing that?

Then take the time to brainstorm those questions, take days if you need to.

Will people pay you to learn how to do what you love to do?

Will people pay you for the finished product?

Will someone pay you to do that on their behalf?

Think up some questions for yourself.

This exercise is capable of changing your life if you do it.
