We had a virtual coffee club yesterday with some friends. ☕️

It didn't go entirely smoothly, but since it was the first of probably many, that's not a huge issue.

We have also had video catch-ups with family and grandchildren.

It's sad but true that this is the new normal for our social lives now for weeks or months.

Our children will be remotely educated from the end of the Easter break as currently instigated by the state and federal governments.

Many people are out of work and not getting an income.

Some still have limited work and have had their incomes cut as a result.

There are promises from the government that there will be some cash payments to top up the finances of a business, pensioners, unemployed etc. 💰

Unfortunately, at this stage, there has been no announcement of financial support for self-funded retirees despite the crashes in the stock market and the drastic reduction in the interest rates.

Apparently, if you are self-funded as we are, there is no need to have any financial support.

A friend of mine has lost over 30% of his investment money, he has a rental property to sell, but no-one is buying.

He'll be OK, but this will curtail his retirement plans unless the market comes back in a big way. 📈

It won't.

Do you think that I'm working hard on increasing my Internet income?

You better believe it.

Are you?

Do you think you should be?

Regards,

Brent.

The talking heads in the financial media won't tell you the truth about how bad this could get, and I don't want to scare you.

I do want to urge you to keep working on your incomes, even those of you who already have one.
