The protagonist was stating that everything would go back to the way it was.

My argument was that it couldn't possibly do that.

They reasoned that once the lockdowns and social distancing end, then everybody would go back to work and all the businesses and companies would fire back up as if they had just been on an extended holiday break.

My argument was that there would be so many small businesses go out of business permanently that, at the very least, the unemployment rates would be higher.

Besides, I reasoned that the massive increase in Government debt would weigh heavily on budgets for a long time which could lead to more taxation and or inflation.

Then, of course, we have all those workers who have discovered the delights and pain of remote working.

Some will want to stay that way, and some won't.

Some companies will want their workers to stay remote to reduce their office space expenses if that works for them.

Those people who have housing mortgages that have been paused, for now, will they still be getting charged interest on the loan?

What about the renters, the rents might be on hold, but it's probably growing incrementally, will they be able to pay it off?

Do you expect the landlords to carry the cost?

And that's just for a short term shutdown, what if it lasts six months or more?

Way more questions than answers.

We are striding into the unknown.

This is an event that has no comparison, despite some people's attempts to equate this with wartime or terrorist attacks.

One thing I think I do know.

I need to add some more income streams to my portfolio.

Do you think you should do the same?

Regards,

Brent.

P.S. Sorry to send you such a downer email but I have always believed that it is better to go forward with your eyes wide open rather than blindly stumble through life hoping everything will work out fine.

I firmly believe that things will turn out fine, but I also think that the world has changed irrevocably.

I'm fascinated to see what we end up with, and I'm not frightened by the prospects.

That doesn't mean I think we can sail on regardless, you and I need to prepare while we can.

I'm making videos on all sorts of different subjects and niches to post on YouTube and other sites, they are quick and easy to make because I use Content Samurai to make them.

If you would like to grab some of that traffic from YouTube, then this might appeal to you as well.
