It's easy to get trapped in the short-term thinking mindset.

You know the sales pages, make $XXX by tomorrow.

The fastest way to reach #1 on Google or YouTube.

Send an email, get sales. (This is possible if you already have an engaged email list).

10x your sales by tomorrow.

And on they go, selling the hope of a quick result.

You know how often they work though, don't you? 📉

The funny thing is that if those magic tricks did work, why would they sell you the secret for $7?

If you had a magic button that created a flood of cash, wouldn't you be mashing too fast to be able to take the time to put together a sales page?

I doubt you'd be selling it for $7 either, something in the 5 - 6 figure range would be more appropriate.

And yet we seem to get sucked into the instant results vortex over and over again.

We are all smart people here, but somehow the psychology of the sales page works on us all, especially if our marketing results are less than stellar.

That's because we are suckers for that short-term thinking.

When you switch over to long-term thinking, all those temptations fall away. 👍🏻

We see them for what they are, a distraction from the long game.

What should we be doing every day when we change over to the long-term game?

You'll be busy following the process you created for yourself.

It may look something like this:-

  1. Write the email for tomorrow and queue it up.
  2. Test the links to make sure they all work.
  3. Write a post for your blog or Facebook page etc.
  4. Brainstorm your next product or project.
  5. Order the next solo ads.
  6. Create a video and post it to YouTube et al.

Of course, what you'll be doing will be different from this list, but it will be the steps that you have determined will get you to your goal.

After you have done the work that needs doing, you can then check your stats, read your emails and answer any that require a response.

When you do that every day you will reach your goals, it's as close to a guarantee that I can give you, 'cause I'm not permitted to guarantee anything, by law. 👮‍♀️

Brent.

P.S. One thing I can almost guarantee is that you'll need to have an autoresponder and an understanding of how to collect email addresses and write emails.

The autoresponder that I use and recommend is ConvertKit.

I also use a self-hosted service called Sendy, but that takes some techy stuff to make it work so I don't suggest that you go down that path.

ConvertKit is currently offering a free option with up to 1,000 subs or 2,000 subs if you promote them to your friends.

Pick up that offer through this link.

The other thing you'll need is an understanding of how to maximise your list building and how to avoid the mistakes that most people make with their lists.

That would be the Tony Shepherd report which you can access here.
