We are off caravanning again and are in a town called Nuriootpa. Originally settled by German migrants who opened it up as a wine growing region. Yesterday was cold, wet and quite windy. Today was much nicer, and as I was setting up the awning, I could hear an odd noise that sounded like snoring. Investigating the surrounding trees, I tracked down a Tawny Frogmouth that appeared asleep and snoring. They are a strange bird that are usually pretty difficult to see in the wild. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nci3dnZPVfg. Anyway, this one seemed quite comfortable in the caravan park with people moving around.
People like to read about other people's travels. It helps them plan where they might go and what they can do when they get there. Some people have made fortunes with their reporting. Rick Stein, Lonely Planet, National Geographic, etc. Others you won't know nearly as well have made a comfortable living that pays for their travels. Here's a guide on how to present your writing appealingly without going overboard. |
