That's a bit cryptic, isn't it?

I was listening to a program called Conversations on the radio on my way back from visiting Mum.

The conversation was with Anna Meares, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna_Meares, who is an Olympic Gold medal winner in cycling.

She had a severe crash during racing at the World Cup, which resulted in a broken neck.

Ten days after the crash, she was back on the bike.

Seven months later, she won silver at the Bejing Olympics.

She found out accidentally that the broken C2 vertebra was 2 millimetres from entirely severing which would have resulted in quadriplegia or death.

This revelation was only days after the crash, and she became depressed.

Her coach told her to stop being negative by focussing on what if and concentrating instead on what is.

From then, she and her coach put a regime in place to be ready for the Olympics, which she was.

OK, you probably don't have any challenges in your life as extreme as that, and you are probably not aiming to compete in the Olympics.

But I would be prepared to bet that you have, at times, bemoaned your luck and said what if.

What if you had bought Bitcoin when you first heard about it.

What if you have married that person.

What if ...

The what ifs of our lives are when we look back and think we made the wrong decision.

This thinking is not valid

If you could have made a different decision, you would have.

We all make the best decisions we can with the incomplete information we have at the time.

None of us can see what the future will bring, and hindsight is often 20/20.

But there is no chance that you'll improve your future by looking backwards.

When we look forward, the question changes from what if to what is.

Where am I now, and where do I want to be in a year or five years?

Once you know where you are and where you want to be, you can make the types of decisions that will get you there.

Set yourself an activity plan to reach that goal.

Regards,
Brent.

P.S.  No one can honestly guarantee your success, but I can guarantee your failure if you don't take action towards your goals.

When you take action, even in the wrong direction, amazing things happen.

Opportunities open up before you, and the right people show up, you learn new stuff and gain confidence.

Not everything works, but everything teaches you something worthwhile.

One of the best teachers of how to put the systems together is this man https://go.wm-tips.com/asal.
