You know you want more in your life. More time for you. More time with your family. More time with your friends. More money. More love. More time for exercise. More < insert own desires here >.
Why don't you have more of those things? Perhaps you say that "I don't have the time; I don't have the money; I don't know how; I'm stuck in this job; I'm stuck in this place" etc. Do you think it's time to stop the BS excuses? That's all they are and they are stopping you from getting what you really want. Holding on to these excuses will limit your potential. It's time to let them go. Recognise that doing things you have never done before is scary. But fear of the unknown is a natural thing. It's just new, You've never done it before. You have to push through to progress and you can do it. Feel the fear, that's good, but do it anyway. Almost all of us grew up with employee parents so we didn't learn any other way of living from them or their friends or extended family. So what you want to do is outside everyone's comfort zone and they'll probably not be able to help you move through that. You may even frighten them a bit and they might try to hold you back. Don't let them. Don't be rude or mean to them, they don't understand. Find a coach or mentor who does understand and talk with them when stuff gets tough as it will because we all need to vent from time to time. You also need to understand that you are where you are today because of all of your experiences. You played a role in all of that, you're not responsible for all of it but you did have a role to play in all of it. When you own that you can change that. When you own that you gain the power to change that. Negative energy has a negative feedback loop and creates more negative energy. Positive energy has a positive feedback loop and creates more positive energy. Almost nothing in your life is either good or bad except thinking makes it so. Go be awesome. Regards, Brent. P.S. The idea for the email above came from a podcast transcript I found while downloading stuff from Amazon S3. That's an example of using the content you find and either rewriting it, using the idea (in this case) or using it as is. One of the tools you can use to help you in this process is the one that you can find out more here. |
