I was writing a chapter in my book, Bring Your Own Brain, about how amazing the human body is. I wanted to clarify the statistics relating to the odds of you or me actually being here at all. The number surprised me. The odds against any human being born are so extreme that effectively the odds say you cannot exist. And yet we do, in the billions. What are the odds then? Turns out that, considering everything, the odds are 1 in 10 to the power of 2,685,000. That's a 10 with 2,685,000 zeros after it. As a comparison, it's estimated that there are seven followed by 22 zeros or 70 thousand million, million, million stars in the observable universe. Which is 0.0000082 of the odds of you being born. When you consider that the odds of having a successful start-up is 1 in 200 that has to be an absolute certainty, now that you are here. What are you waiting for? You don't need permission from anyone. Success is all but guaranteed as long as you do the work. Regards,
