What was your ROI on your last purchase? 🤷🏻♂️ ROI stands for return on investment, and business people use this to determine if what they bought was a good investment or not. Unfortunately, very few do this assessment before they buy something. Which is where they should do it, obviously. Thinking about this question can save you a lot of money. 📈
If you want to buy something all shiny and new and you can afford it then go right ahead. You don't need my permission for that, your significant other perhaps but not mine. You do need to be clear in your mind if you are buying this thing to make money with it, or so you feel good.
In this IM world, many people buy all the shiny objects that the fraudsters throw at them. 💎 🕳 The fraudsters know this and prey on them, which is bordering on criminal.
I have not been immune to this in the past, and I have several products that I bought that either didn't work as advertised or stopped working not long after I bought them. Some I managed to get refunds for, some I didn't. Most of these products didn't have a positive ROI for me, so mostly I wasted my money. 📉🙁
When I first got interested in making money online, I bought everything I could to find out how I could do it too. After a while of fruitless flopping about I worked out that most of these people had either been extremely lucky but really didn't know what they did that worked. Most of them couldn't replicate what they did in the same niche, let alone a different one.
If they can't repeat what they did, then they can't teach you how to do it. So I began my search for people who do what they teach. Not for those who teach what they used to do or even have never done.
I've found a few, and I follow what they teach carefully. There is a caveat here. Just because what they or I teach you does not mean that it will work for you.
The variables in the sale of any product to any customer are so significant that while I might make the sale, you may not make the sale to the same person with the same product sometimes even when your pricing is lower. Or vice-versa. It depends on the customer on the day they see the promotion. It depends on how the sales page looks, right down to the colour of the background.
Today they'll buy, tomorrow they won't.
You can improve your chances of making that sale when you have reliable, ethical, experienced people willing to help you out. The best place I have found for that is Society11. The owners of the group are highly experienced. They run a weekly Q&A video where they answer any and all questions. Inside the member's area, there are tools, training and software products, some free, that will help your business. Do I get a positive ROI from my subscription? Not every month, yet, but I have made money from their suggestions. Even those not directed to me.
Regards, Brent
