"Diamonds are nothing more than chunks of coal that stuck to their jobs." – Malcolm Forbes, Born Aug. 19, 1917.

How do you make a diamond?

You start with carbon.

You are mostly composed of carbon.

Carbon-based life forms, that's what they call us.

And then you add two ingredients: pressure and time.

Inside the Earth, we're talking pressure from massive geological forces and time on an eon scale.

But in our professional lives, it takes a lot less of both.

The pressure comes from challenging yourself every day to grow in some way.

To measure yourself against a new difficulty and to strive to overcome and expand it.

And if you do that, as often as possible, as many times as possible, then over time that raw and worthless carbon begins to sparkle.

And it doesn't have to be an immense pressure or an enormous expenditure of time.

Solve one annoying problem and share it with everyone.

All the other carbonaceous meat sacks walking around can say: That you can withstand the pressure.

Over and over again.

You are special.

You're valuable.

I should follow them, and listen to them, and do what they tell me to do".

Think about it.

Who are the "diamonds" we look up to?

The athletes: Pressure and time create successful athletes.

Entertainers: Pressure and time make successful entertainers.

Leaders: Writers: Artists: Pressure and time turn them from mere mortals into larger-than-life heroes.

They've been squeezed into something special by always facing a world trying to squeeze their dreams out of them.

This pressure is what the world does to them.

But they weren't crushed.

They hardened and became blinding.

And now they are adored, admired, cherished, sought after and kept forever.

Do your job.

Face the pressure.

It's not even hard.

Just show up.

Do your time in it.

Do your best.

Come out radiant, be like nobody else. 💎

Regards,
Brent

P.S.  While you are on your way to being a diamond, you will need to be doing something to toughen you up.

For most people, the three toughest things to do are:-

  1. Speaking in public.
  2. Leaving your mobile phone in your pocket.
  3. Pick one thing to master at a time.

When related to Internet Marketing, these are speaking on a video, staying off FaceBook (or other social media) while working, and trying to do everything yourself.

I can't help you with the first two, although you don't need to speak on a video to make money from them.

What I can help you with is picking one thing to master that will impact all of your marketing from video scripts to emails.

The best thing?

It'll only take you five days to get the basics nailed and then it's only practice.

How to you practice?

You spend time every day repeating what you learned in those five days.

What are you learning?

You'll learn How to write reviews that convert.
