Anyone who has been anywhere near the self-improvement movement will know that they preach setting goals.

Some will tell you that you need to set BHG (big hairy goals) or tell you that they are not big enough if your goals don't scare you.

But very few people who follow this mantra achieve their goals.

Why?

The gurus of self-improvement will tell you that you didn't work hard enough towards your goals.

I'm telling you they spout B.S.

Goals are essential because they set the direction you are heading.

What makes the difference between setting goals and achieving them is the process you set to get there.

It's the process that sets the result.

Following your process makes sure your goals look after themselves.

How do you set a process in place?

You break down the activities that you need to do to reach the goal to daily activities.

All you have to do is follow the daily activities and tick off the days you manage to complete them.

Simples.

Brent.
