That's the age of the rocks I've been climbing on for the last three days.

Some of them were 2400 million years old, but most of them were quite the youngster by comparison.

To get to them required some driving on some very rough roads, corrugations big enough that I had to keep my mouth shut to stop my fillings falling out. 🚙

The wipers came on by themselves; the indicator turned on by itself, and the towing mirror nearly fell off.

Other than that we suffered no damage at all for which I am very grateful.

I don't think I'll put the poor caravan through that again as it wasn't built for that type of punishment.

A little tip for those of you who might get the chance to drive over some of Australia's Outback roads, when you hit corrugations, slow down a lot, let some air out of your tyres to about 1/2 normal pressure.

If you do let some air out, remember to pump them back up again once you hit the main roads again.

Anyway, we are now in Kimba, and I'm not sure where we are heading next.

I could be Wilpena Pound, but we will be in Clare in about a week for the final run home, which is a day trip from there.

I think we will have Internet from now on, but I cannot be sure.
