Many people think that they have to create something new before they can start their business.
Not true. 👈🏼
Some people know that the best ideas are a collection of old ideas with a twist that makes it unique.
"The inventor did not look for problems in need of solutions; he looked for solutions in need of modification."
- Thomas Edison (1887-1931)
We often totter through life doing things the same way, even when it's not quite working for us. 🤖
I'm reminded of a story about a newlywed whose partner asked why they cut the end off the roast leg before putting it in the pan.
The answer was "That's the way my mother did it."
So they asked the mother why she did it.
The answer was "That's the way my mother did it."
When they asked grandma why she cut the end off the roast before putting it in the pan, she replied, "So it'll fit in the pan." 👏👋
Are you doing stuff without thinking about it because "that's the way I was told to do it?"
My wife gets a bit annoyed with me, sometimes, because I do question why she does things the way she does.
I'm sure your partner never gets annoyed with you, but mine does.
I try to think things through and devise an easier or faster way to do something.
I question myself as well.
You can't improve what you don't measure or test.
Not everything works, but enough do that it's worth the testing.
What product do you use that you get a little frustrated using?
How could it be improved?
Maybe it just needs a better instruction manual.
Could that be a video so you could show the steps?
That is product creation. 🎉
You can do this.
Regards,
Brent.
P.S. You probably know about sales funnels since you have seen several examples if you have been online for any length of time.
What you may or may not know is that sales funnels have been around for a very long time.
Even the innocuous "Do you want fries with that?" at Maccas is an upsell in a sales funnel, and responsible for millions of extra revenue every year.
What I have for you today is a downloadable PDF that goes over the basics of a sales funnel.
I think you will find it interesting.
Get it here.
