"What you focus on expands, what you resist persists."
Most people don't talk about how your mindset affects your life.
Sometimes it's because they don't know, other times it's because people look at them strangely and think they are all woo-woo new age or something.
It's not new age at all. Have you read "Think and Grow Rich" or "The Science of Getting Rich"? These books and many others have been around for many years, and the principles discussed still hold today.
Even "The Secret", which was prominent in the last few years, wanders down the same path a little.
They all explain that to reach the goals we all have is a process.
Part of that process is mental.
Once you have clarified the goal you want to reach you have to create a picture of yourself reaching that goal, with mental images or pictures on your wall or in writing whichever works for you and hold that image close daily.
You have to maintain a positive expectation that you will reach the goal.
You need to feel the emotions related to reaching the goal.
You also need to monitor your self-talk to ensure you are not sabotaging your efforts with internal doubts.
The difference is between "lack thinking" and "abundance thinking".
Think abundance, expect success, this stuff works.
Regards,
P.S. There is one other step that you will need to take.
Being positive in your self-talk and goal setting is great, but you also need to be taking action, and sometimes you might not be sure what action to take.
The secret here is to break down the goal into daily action steps.
Without this method, you'll struggle to reach the goals you set, with it they are all but guaranteed.
Find out how to reach your goals this year. |
