Google is concerned that because web browsers are blocking third-party cookies by default, they won't be able to track your behaviour online and won't be able to target advertising to what you have researched previously. So they have come up with this piece of B.S. software, currently only in the Google Chrome and Chromium web browsers. You can read all about the nastiness of this development here https://vivaldi.com/blog/no-google-vivaldi-users-will-not-get-floced/. Google claims that FLoC is about protecting your privacy, but the lie is exposed because they do not activate the software in Europe because of the GDPR legislation. The first step you protecting your private data is not to use Google products; many alternatives do not track you, so use those. Use a VPN and use the Internet via a European server. I use Proton for email and their VPN when I want increased privacy, but I suspect that I'll be using them far more often now. It's time for all Internet users to reject Google and Facebook and all their web properties. They have become too greedy and too invasive to be allowed to continue.
P.S. I'm just back from Melbourne and cuddles with the newest Grandie. It all went very well, but I, unfortunately, made a wrong move late last week and caused some injury to my shoulder, resulting in me having to resort to the sling again for a week so whatever I did could get some healing done. I think it has set me back at least a week and perhaps longer. No biggie, I will be back as good as ever soon. I'm going to extend the HalfOff coupon for this email, but I can't promise that the promotion will last until the end of the week. If you're on the fence on this, that's fine, but don't email me to complain that you missed out if I decide to cut it short. Here is the link again. https://go.wm-tips.com/10main |
