There are people, copywriters especially, who will tell you that you have to be an excellent copywriter to be successful online.

I'm calling that out.

I think you have to start writing copy.

You'll get better as you go, but you'll also earn as you learn.

Here are some points to think about.

  1. You don't have to be an excellent writer to be successful. You only have to talk to under-served people. Then you have no competition. See Twilight et al.
  2. Nobody writes as well as they want to. It always sucks. Beats the hell out of most of what you see anyway. They publish a lot of bad shit all the time, the way I see it.
  3. The secret to being a good writer is that you do it every day, as described in no. 1 and no. 2 above, and you basically can't help but get better when you practice towards a goal.

BONUS: A guru-level trick is that you can get away with having been a good writer. Save all your stuff and repost it again later, lol. Before you repost, fix it up a little each time. Eventually, you have a pile of absolute bangers that is sufficiently huge that no loyal fan remembers it all, and it takes so long to loop around the list that most people in your growing audience haven't seen it yet.

Any thoughts on this? Let me know.

Brent.

P.S.  I made a change to the DNS for one of my domains by putting it on Cloudflare.

I was trying to get SSL for the site which worked, but it also broke some other links.

So, I have had a torrid couple of days trying to put it all back together, and it hasn't happened yet.

DNS changes can take 48 hours to propagate across the Internet.

Can you let me know if you clicked on a link and got an error page or a timeout, please?

You can let me know in the community.

I know this link works now.
