When you make your living as a freelance writer, you can come across some pretty weird gigs.
You know that you can earn money writing, but you don't have experience in business, finance or technology, so you think that getting paid for writing stuff doesn't apply to you.
All you have to do is look a bit harder, and you can get paid for writing about some pretty odd stuff.
Here are some gigs, and what they paid, to whet your enthusiasm.
- Ghostwriting love letters or break-up letters. $5 - $15
- Writing emails for a busy CEO to his wife to maintain the relationship. $300 per email
- Write for niche websites - blind ponies, gemstone mines, knives. The gemstone mines paid $800 per article.
- Oddball news reports. $200 - $400 per piece.
- Product descriptions for figurines for a website. $25 each.
- 200 words for an Adult website. $30.
- Online copywriting for a Naked Sushi Event organiser. $200 each.
- Descriptions for Adult movies in 140 characters for Twitter. Paid to watch porn, who would have thought.
You'll find these gigs on sites like Fiverr, Freelancer, Upwork, Craig's list etc. Search for freelance writing gigs for more inspiration.
Regards,
Brent.
P.S. You may think that you don't have enough experience to pick up a writing gig, but you'll never have enough experience if you don't start writing.
