Most people, when they build a website, work out their niche, collect their keywords, check out the competition and then create.
All good so far, it's the structure of the website they stuff up.
You need good content, a minimum of 30 pages these days, usually 1,000 words per post/page and those pages need to be optimised for the keyword, one per page, plus longtail keywords and LSI keywords.
Then they build backlinks with some raw anchor text, some keywords, some general type keywords etc.
Guess what?
They are unlikely to get anywhere near the first page of Google for any decent keywords and will get little or no traffic.
What did they do wrong?
How frustrating would that be for you if you've spent six months to a year building up the site for a dribble of traffic and no income?
Is it any wonder that most people will give up on that and begin searching for that 'magic button' which doesn't exist.
An yet they were so close.
What do you do differently to make a site like that work?
It's all in the structure and internal linking.
The main posts need to be pages, the categories main page has links to all the pages and posts within that category.
The category is the menu header with all the pages and posts under that.
All pages and posts link back to the main page for that category.
Each page has a title and a different H1 tag.
The structure looks a little like this:-
besthomecomputers.com/laptops/Hp/
besthomecomputers.com/laptops/Dell/
etc.
Do not have your URL look like this:-
besthomecomputers.com/laptops/Hp laptops/
Your category page has 100 — 300 words of content and links to all the relevant pages.
Your home page has the latest posts from each category with links to the article.
Ask if you want to know more.

P.S. When you are working out what content to use and how to structure your site, this site will make all the difference.
You can create a page that lays out the whole basic structure for you and then work from the PDF output.
It will also analyse your site for you and tell you how to improve it.
